INTERCity Futsal Tournaments 2026 — Now Open for Applications

INTER Futsal is proud to announce the INTERCity Futsal Tournaments 2026 — Belfast's biggest city-wide futsal competition, open to football teams and individuals of all abilities.

What is INTERCity?

INTERCity is a series of futsal tournaments and festivals designed for grassroots footballers across Belfast. Whether you play with a club, a school team, or a group of mates — this is your chance to compete indoors in one of the world's fastest-growing sports.

These events are inclusive of ability and focused on a grassroots experience. All football teams are invited to take part, and individuals are welcome to register their interest so we can help them find or create a team.

Key Details

Entry: FREE to play — £10 per player covers insurance
Squad size: Minimum 8 players, maximum 15
Games start: 20th April 2026
Games end: 28th June 2026
Game days: Wednesday & Friday evenings, Saturday & Sunday mornings
Minimum games: Every team guaranteed at least 6 games

Who Can Enter?

The tournaments cover three categories with sections across multiple age groups:

Boys — 2013/14, 2015/16 and 2017/18 age groups, each with Blue & Red (competitive) and Green (development) sections.

Girls — 2013/14, 2015/16 and 2017/18 age groups.

Men's — Section K for 16–19 year olds (2006–2009) and Section L for over 16s with no upper age limit.

Competition Format

All teams play 3 randomised games (35–50 minutes).
Teams are placed into a Long Table and matched based on results.
All teams play a further 3 selected games.
Top teams advance to knockout rounds to determine winners.

Prizes

Over £5,000 in total prizes across all sections:

Youth & Section K: £500 + Trophy & Medals for the winners, plus prizes for 2nd, 3rd and 4th place.

Men's Open (Section L): £1,500 + Trophy & Medals for the winners, £700 for 2nd, £400 for 3rd, and £200 for 4th. Spot prizes including kits, equipment and medals throughout.
